And Health Issues, Especially, Mental Illnesses.

A Caring Community Team!

* To Raise the Appropriate types of Awareness, through such places as, the Media, Specifically Directed to the Government Departments, with a Special Focus placed on the Many inadequacies that live and breed within Child Protective Services, Namely; 'DoCS' (in NSW) The NSW Department of Community Services,

And, the Family Courts,

who are *Supposed* to be the Departments whom we pay our Taxes to, in order for them to offer the Appropriate Care and Protection for our Children, Teens, and their Families!

* To Offer the same, working together as a team, via School/Parent Education Services/Programs, etc. about The SERIOUS and Long Term Devastating Effects that Child/Teen Abuse in Any and/or All of its forms can, and more often than Not, *DOES* have on its Victims, Family Members, Supporters, and basically All people they come into contact with, reaching out to all Members C/- our Community, and to attempt to
work out how all of us, can best solve these Problems that we face, Effectively, within our own Community!
On The Behalf of: Our Children/Teens; who are not only our Future Generation, but are Human Beings, Deserving of the equal opportunity to grow into healthy adults, and lead a healthy adult hood.

Most Importantly:

To Raise Awareness to ALL Members C/- OUR Community, about what Child Abuse *REALLY* IS!

* To Work and Interact with other related and Helpful Organisations/Agencys, and/or Persons who are Aiming to Effectively

"STOP The STIGMA"

against Mental Illness, and/or any forms of Disability:

AND;

"BREAK The SILENCE"

'BREAK The DENIAL'

'STOP The CYCLE'

'STOP The COVER UPS'

'STOP The SHAME'

'STOP The SECRECY'

'STOP The LIES'

Especially in relation to Abuse, and Especially Child Abuse In Any and/or ALL of its forms!

WHY?

Because Abuse BREEDS, Grows Stronger, and affects its Victims, and this includes;

Family, Friends, Supporters, etc.

for Longer when they are FORCED to Live In Secrecy, Shame, Silence and Denial.

Let's help each other to make our lives better for all, and this especially includes, Not Blaming the Victims, and/or their non Abusive Family/Carers for such things, but to put the Responsibility where it Belongs!

Which is on the Perpetrators of Abuse and the Protectors of Perpetrators!?

Please, let's help Protect ALL of Our Children/Teens from Abuse!?

* To be able to offer the Appropriate Support Services to Family/Supporters, as to Strengthen the Family Unit!
Including, building Strong and Supportive Community Networks, as to enable all Neccesary Services to those Members C/- our Community who are in Need, and we believe that it *IS* Possible, and that *WE* Can do this, if we can encourage the Members C/- our Communities, to work together as a Team.

* To have the appropriate Services Needed, to be provided, for the Protection, Safety and Support, of All Children/Teenagers from ANY/ALL Abuse in Any and/or All of its forms!

* To Offer and Share Support, Re: Appropriate and Adequate Services for Victim/Survivors of Abuse in Any/All of its forms!

This includes all things to be made available, that are Needed for Each Person's Individual Recovery/Healing.

* We work together as a Community Team offering/sharing such things as; acknowledging and Validating ALL forms of Abuse!
ie:
Emotional, Physical, Psychological/Mental, Spiritual, Sexual, Abandonment, Neglect, Growing up with Alcoholic, and/or Drug Addicted Carer/s,

Being Institutionalised, which was usually accompanied with a Child/Teen being Charged with such invalidating things, as, 'Uncontrollable' 'Neglect' 'EMD' etc.

via the Children's Courts, and then given a committal sentence, some to Mental Hospitals too.

Or Any Other Invalidating Charge/s, that are designed to make the Child/Teenager feel Bad about themselves, and Blame Themselves for,

which is then something that they carry into their adult lives,

i.e.

Guilt, Shame, Disgust, Evil, etc.

with them for the rest of their lives in many cases, if they do not have the opportunity of receiving the appropriate support/services, etc. such as: Counselling, Therapy, etc.

Hence, Recovery/Healing from the Abuse that they were subject to!

We see this, as the Abused are being made to feel Guilty and Continually Pay for Crimes that they had Never committed in the first place!

* To Place The Responsibility on to the Relevant Government Departments, in relation to either, Providing on-going Funding to helpful oganisations, with our, the Taxpayer's Money, or Directly Providing on-going Adequate Care and Services to be Provided for Victim/Survivors of Abuse in Any/All of its forms!

And their Family/Carers, etc.

Paying particular attention to Rural and Regional areas, where there are virtually NO Services available!

This could include such things as:

Professional Counselling Services to be provided by Experienced Psychologists/Counsellors, etc. who are Specifically Trained in the Very Complex areas of Abuse, Especially Child Abuse, Neglect, and/or Sexual Assault/Rape, in Any/All of its Forms!

i.e.

Adult Children of Alcoholics,

Mental Illnesses that are common to Victim/Survivors as the Direct Result of Child Abuse in Any/All of its forms!
All such areas that require Specialized Treatment and Care MUST be provided, in order for such persons who suffer as the result of these things,

to be able to lead any sort of a normal life.

This Must be made available for as long as the Victim/Survivor Needs it!

Even if it takes many Years!
Which is often the case.

Services for Family/Supporters, etc. would also be of great benefit, which could also be made available, as to help enrich the lives of all involved, helping to build Stronger, Healthier and Happier Families, Friends and Community Support Networks in General.
Hence, Preventing the Many Family Breakdowns that are occurring, as a Result of the Long Term Negative Effects that Abuse in Any/All of its forms has had on its' Victims.

* To file reports and ensure that a proper investigation is undertaken ASAP into our Pathetically Inadequate System!
Starting with, our 'so called' Child Protective Services, (i.e. DoCS in NSW)

Instead of investigating and threatening innocent people all of the time, and harrassing people who are already under a great deal of stress from this type of abuse in the first place, which is all time wasting.

Where perhaps it would be a good idea to take a closer look at those departments who are supposed to be helping the members of our Community, and not making them feel frightened and scared, from threats and intimidation, in too many cases!

We do not personally suggest that anyone reports child abuse to any of our CPSs, who very rarely help Families, but more times than not, Only make matters much worse.

We would be all for this, if CPS Ever did Anything Positive and were of Any Help for Any of our Children/Teenagers, and their Family/Carers!
But, if they are Not doing anything to help Protect our Children/Teenagers and Families, Adequately, then we see little Point in Reporting 'Actual and/or Suspected' Child Abuse to Them!

* To lessen the Trauma for Victim/Survivors, and Family/Supporters, who report their own Abuse, Especially when taking the Offender/s to Court, as Our Current Legal System is also Inadequate and usually causes further Trauma to The Victim as a result of being Abused further by 'The System'!

AND, Children should NEVER be put on a Witness Stand in Court, or questioned in ANY Threatening Manner What-so-ever, by Any Members C/- Any Departments within 'The System'!

Children should NEVER be

Re-Victimized, as we see happening TOO Many times, in the Large Majority of these Cases, by our very

Faulty and inadequate System!

* To have access to Child Abuse Prevention Education and material, available in ALL Schools, Teaching Students about ALL FORMS OF ABUSE, Protection and Prevention.

* To have available, preferably through Government Funding, (as explained above, and also below, in the example of 'Mayumarri')

'In - Patient Therapy Program'

Designed Specifically for Adult Victim/Survivors of Abuse, Especially Child Abuse, as for them to receive Adequate Care and Support for times of 'Breakdown/Burnout' in Adulthood as a result of The Long Term Serious and Devastating Effects that Child Abuse does have on TOO Many people!
AND, for The Standard of Services to be able to meet The 'Individual' Needs of Each Victim/Survivor, Adequately, as well as their Family/Supporters!

* To not only bring in a Law stating that, any person who hits or strikes another person, whether that be an Adult, Baby, Child, Teenager, is a Criminal Offence, but to have this Law acually acted upon when reported.

We are aware that this Law already applies to Adults against Adults, and is called "Assault"
It is also applied in Most of our Schools, (in NSW anyway) where Teachers and/or Students are Not Permitted to Hit, or Strike another Person, Adult, Child/Teenager, etc.

Therefore, we believe that this would be a good idea if the same Law applied to/for ALL Persons, Including, and Especially ALL Babies, Children, and Teenagers C/- our Community!

To do otherwise is hypocritical, and will Never help Us to put a stop to such things as Domestic Violence, Especially against Women,

and Now,

School Bullying,

which is increasing in Severity, Rapidly, and has become a MAJOR Problem in all of our Schools!

Children learn by example!

If an Adult hits/strikes a Baby/Child because they are Angry/Frustrated, etc. is this Not teaching the Child that this is the correct way to deal with Anger/Conflict?

Would it be okay if someone hit you?

If you believe that this is the correct way to deal with Anger and/or Frustrations, that's fine, and perfectly Legal, to take it out on Babies, Child/ren, and Teenagers,

and,

it's also your 'Right' and your own Personal Choice!

However, one of the Biggest Problems with this belief is;
It is against the Law if your Child then turns on, and strikes ANY Other Person/s!

ANY OTHER PERSON!?

Can You believe this?

It is illegal to Strike Any *Other* Person, and we guess that there must be a good reason as to why this is illegal!!???
But, it is okay to hit/strike/belt/beat our Own Child/ren!?

Could you please explain that, so it makes sense?

I guess one could say, that a Child is Not a Person???

Statistics indicated by The NSW ABS, stated that
'more Children Die through Domestic Violence than Adults'!
"81% of all homicide victims under ten years of age are murdered by relatives."

We believe that these Statistics are telling Us something!?

We are against the Hitting/Striking (Assault) of ANY Person, and this also, Especially includes Babies, Children and Teenagers, and for many reasons!

But, to put it simply;
There is Absolutely Nothing Positive to be gained from such Negative and Harmful actions!

The Majority of Infants who are killed by one of their Primary Carers, happens within the first 24 hours of their Life!

Only One Day Old!!!

Their First Day of Life, and their last!

All from being struck, shook, etc.!

How exactly do you think most babies, children and teenagers are murdered, even accidently, especially by their primary carers?

It is not usually done by a weapon, such as; a knife, gun, etc.

* To help give All Children and Teenagers, their Rightful Opportunity, of being able to grow into Healthy Adults, and lead a healthy life free from Abuse in any/all of its forms!

* To offer/share support/services, etc. for ALL people to live a life FREE FROM ABUSE!

Including, but not limited to, discrimination Re: Illness,

Especially Mental Illness.
